Absolutely not!!! To me this is just a strategic tactic to show the Lakers that he is serious in his demands of making this team better. He did the same thing when Shaq was traded...he courted the cross town rival Clippers, and once Shaq was traded he signed with the Lakers.

I've always said that the Lakers brass is one of the worst currently in the league and now it's out...Kupchak needs to go for this team to regain it's prior championship form.

But for the purposes on this conversation, if they were to be serious and trade him...the Lakers could claim quite a bit. Players like KG, Paul Pierce, and even two of the trio of young Bulls (Deng, Gordon %26amp; Hinrich) would tempt John Paxson to swing a deal.

He signed a 6 year 131 million dollar deal in 2004, and 3 year are still left. So trading him will bring forth sweet fruit, but it will be difficult. Kobe is entering his 11th year in the league and trading for a player who'll have about 5 good years left wont be easy when asking for younger talent.

no, the lakers will not trade kobe. he has a no trade clause in his contract and they will not defer from that. hypothetically they could get a lot from a kobe trade, but the way mitch is drafting, i would be scared to see what he would get for him. kobe is a laker for life, lets wait and see what will be done to improve our chances for this up coming season..........

No, even though he's been hinting that he wants out of LA, the price for a team to get him is too much. Jean Jacques Taylor of the Dallas Morning News said that the Mavs should trade Dirk Nowitzki for Kobe but Kobe wouldn't fit in Dallas' system. Heck, Kobe doesn't fit into any of the systems that good teams run, that's why no one will trade for him.

Im a Pistons fan so i could really care less about the Lakers cause they're weak. but personally i cant imagine the Lakers without Kobe... but then again i said the same thing about Shaq when he left lol.
